Description: This guide provides instructions on how to finalize the relationship between Students, Experiences, Locations and Preceptors, using the Experience Manager. Prior to using this guide, the following should be complete:
- User Group with the appropriate student cohort for Placement Exists and is Published
- Experience Placement is Enabled in the appropriate Course(s)/Co-curricular Activity
- Locations are added in the Location Manager
- Placements are updated in the Placement Manager
**Including adding Preceptors/creating Preceptor accounts
Applicable to: Institution Admin, College Admin, Department Admin, College/Department Experience Manager
Step by Step
Step 1: Login to AEFIS
Step 2: Click on the hamburger menu at the top left of your AEFIS home screen
Step 3: Navigate to the Experience Placement menu section and select Experience Manager
Step 4: A list of Students will appear. Click the filter symbol next to Experience Manager to open the filter menu to find the Students, Loation, or Experience Placement you would like to manage.
Step 5: Choose your filters:
Step 6: Click the checkboxes next to students to assign Locations and/or Preceptors in bulk, or individually
Step 7: Assign Locations: Click the Assign Locations button at the top right of the screen and choose the correct location from the drop down menu in the pop up, and click save. Note that you may select more than one location on this pop-up. You will then see the location populate next to the student on the list.
Step 8: Assign Preceptors: Click the Assign Preceptor button at the top right of the screen and choose the correct Preceptor from the drop down menu in the pop up, and click save. Note that you may select more than one location on this pop-up. You will then see the location populate next to the student on the list.
Need to Change Locations or Preceptors?
No problem! Just select the correct student(s)by checking the boxes next to their name(s) and repeat either step 7 or 8!
