The 2013 AACSB Reports have been removed from the platform since AACSB has updated their standards and requirements for these reports.
More details to come in the near future about how we will continue to support our AACSB accredited programs.
Syllabus Export Options
Updates have been made to the export options available to administrators, instructors and students.
MS Word and Copy URL options were re-added back into the platform and can be found by clicking on the Export function on the syllabus form page in a course section.
Please note the the Copy URL option can be set up as a public URL or private URL. You can change the behavior of the URL on your Institution, College, or Department course settings page in the Organizational Hierarchy.
Course Section Syllabi
Previous Functionality: A course section syllabus form could be overwritten after being published if the instructors (Course Section Director(s) or Instructor(s)) were changed throughout the term. This function was either resetting the syllabus or pulling in a previous syllabus that had matched the criteria of the "copy course section data."
Updated Functionality: To ensure that published course section syllabus was not reset or a previous syllabus was not copied in the middle of the term, we have updated the logic to not re-active the course section syllabus if there is a change in Course Section Director(s) or Instructor(s).
Term Creation
Current Functionality: When creating a term (manually or via import), the Activation Date and Term Start Date date pickers allowed for both dates to be the same day.
Updated Functionality: The logic of the Activation Date has been changed to require the user to select two (2) or more days from the date they are creating the term. The Term Start Date now is required to be one (1) or more days from the Activation Date.
Example:
Term Creation Date: 10/30/2023
Based on the Term Creation Date noted above, the Activation Date field is required to be set to +2 days after 10/30/2023 resulting in 11/01/2023; the Term Start Date is required to be set to +1 day after the Activation Date resulting in 11/02/2023.
Self Study Document Preview
The document preview function in the Self-Study has had a performance improvement to increase the time in which the preview is loaded. Previously it was a few minutes and after the performance improvement a large document preview may only take about 15-30 seconds to load.
Institution Survey Public URL
Previous Functionality: For the clients using the Institution Survey Public URL function, they previously did not have a way to only display end-term questions and responses on their public website if they also ran a mid-term survey using the same or different questions.
Updated Functionality: The Institution Survey Public URL has now been updated to require them to include an identifier in the URL to designate whether to display Begin Term, MidTerm or End Term questions.
*If you are interested in using the Institution Survey Public URL please contact your Client Success Manager that can assist with the set up process and provide the URL.
Faculty Portfolio
Previous Functionality: When utilizing the Faculty Portfolio feature, various fields allowed for a numerical value but did not allow for the entry of any decimal values or string format entry.
Updated Functionality:
The following fields now allow decimal entries:
-
Amount
-
Number of Days
-
Number of Hours
-
Teaching Workload Percentage
-
Research Workload Percentage
-
Service Workload Percentage
-
Administrative Workload Percentage
-
Mean Course Evaluation Score
The following fields now allow for string format entries:
-
Page Numbers
-
DOI
-
Patent ID
- ISBN
Survey Preview
Previous Functionality: When previewing survey questions, displayed questions that are not marked for any time period (Beginning of Term, Middle of Term, End of Term) were displaying in the preview.
Updated Functionality: When an attempt is made to publish survey questions at the Course Section, Course, Department, College, or Institution levels and at least one question does not have any time period selected, a warning message will display to prompt users to add a time period to questions where Beginning of Term, Middle of Term, End of Term, or some combination of the three options has not been assigned.
